Summer Camps
Two summer camps will be held this summer to review the FFA Farm Safe project and provide students and teachers with hands-on experience in using GIS, GPS and field mapping. Camps will be held at the main Penn State campus, at University Park, PA.
Cost
All expenses, including food, lodging and entertainment will be covered through the FFA Farm SAFE project. Teachers and students will need to cover the cost of travel to and from the Penn State Campus.
Who Can Attend?
All Pennsylvania FFA teachers are eligible to participate in the FFA Farm SAFE summer camps. A teacher can bring up to three students with them to the camp. Contact us for more information regarding registration and eligibility.

We currently have 2 camps scheduled for the upcoming summer as follows:
- June 16-19
- June 23-26

Monday
4:00 pm to 5:00 pm Registration
5:30 to 6:30 Dinner
7:00 to 9:00 Intro to SAFE and GPS training
Tuesday
7:00 am Breakfast
8:30 to 4:30 Computer Lab ASI Building, GIS and Arcview training
5:30 Dinner
Evening is free for swimming or other activities
Wednesday
7:00 am Breakfast
8:30 to 10:00 Computer Lab ASI Building, preparation for field mapping
10:00 to 4:30 Field mapping of Farm Sites
5:00 to 8:00 Picnic
Thursday
7:00 am Breakfast
8:30 to 4:00 Computer Lab ASI Building, prepare FFA Responder maps
