Curriculum
As a part of the FFA SAFE program, the Geospatial Technology Program, Land Analysis Lab is developing a curriculum that will be used to teach the students (and the teachers) how to work with geospatial technology including GPS, and ESRI's ArcView GIS.
The curriculum is still under development, however the main parts of the draft curriculum are outlined as follows:
- Project Overview & Preparing to Visit a Site
- Collecting Data in the Field
- Working with the Garmin Map 76s GPS Unit
- Digitizing Field Collected Data in a GIS
- Creating A Farm Emergency Response Map
- Teacher Guide
